Making Music Vocal Arts Final Summer Project: A Unique Intergenerational Collaboration

Making Music Vocal Arts (MMVA) is thrilled about its final summer project: a one-of-a-kind collaboration between the Motif Youth Chorale: Concert Edition and Motif Chorale: Teacher Edition. This joint performance will bring together passionate youth performers and music educators from across the region for a powerful and inspiring musical experience.

What makes this project so special is the rare opportunity for students and teachers to share the stage—blending youthful energy with seasoned artistry. This intergenerational ensemble creates not only beautiful music, but also a supportive community for the choral arts.


Both choirs will prepare separately before combining for a collaborative concert. Audiences can expect compelling repertoire, artistic phrasing, and dynamic vocal work from singers of all ages and backgrounds.

Location: Community United Methodist Church, Elm Grove, WI

Rehearsals for Motif Youth Chorale: Treble Concert Edition

  • August 4, 6, 11, 13, 15 | 6:00–8:00 PM


Rehearsals for Motif Chorale: Teacher Edition (Adult SATB Ensemble)

  • Monday, August 4 | 7:00–9:30 PM

  • Wednesday, August 6 | 7:30–9:30 PM

  • Monday, August 11 | 7:15–9:15 PM

  • Wednesday, August 13 | 7:15–9:15 PM


Combined Dress Rehearsal:

  • Friday, August 15 | Youth: Call Time: 6:00pm- 7:30 PM Adult: 7:00-8:15pm


Concert Performance:

  • Saturday, August 16 | Call Time: 1:30 PM | Concert: 3:00 PM


This collaboration is open to youth entering grades 6–12 and adults ages 18+ who have ever worked in music education in any capacity—classroom, private lessons, or community music programs. No formal audition is required for returning youth singers or adults. New youth singers may complete a vocal check to join in this collaboration.
