Making Music Vocal Arts: Fall Highlights & NEW for Ladies- Uncorked Voices!

It’s been an exciting and VERY full semester at Making Music Vocal Arts, and we’re thrilled to share what’s happening across our programs as we continue “Singing with purpose” into the holiday season!


Saint John’s on the Lake Singers

Our wonderful Saint John’s on the Lake Singers are already halfway through their fall session and sounding fantastic! The choir is preparing their upcoming winter program, Holiday Wishes, which will be shared with the Saint John’s community on Sunday, December 7th. This ensemble continues to bring joy and connection through song — and it’s always inspiring to see the sense of community that grows each rehearsal.


Sharp Choices- NEW Repertoire Session for Teachers

Our first ever Repertoire Reading session happened for our local teachers this October. We were thrilled to present some great pieces, many of them published this year in 2025. All music came from our own Milwaukee based music publishing house, Hal Leonard! It was a lovely musical evening and we look forward to connecting more with our teachers in the future!


Youth Performers: Danceworks Collaboration

Rehearsals are underway for our collaboration with Danceworks, culminating for two special performances on December 13th at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center. This partnership allows our singers to connect with other young artists across Milwaukee, bringing music and movement together in a unique, uplifting way. Bravo and so excited to see you perform this December!


A Big League Moment for MMVA

This fall brought a thrilling surprise — Making Music Vocal Arts was invited to participate in Game 1 of the World Series if the Milwaukee Brewers advanced through the playoffs! While we didn’t get the chance to take the field, it was truly an honor to be asked and recognized among so many talented groups in the area. We love our Brewers and couldn’t be prouder of their incredible season. Go Brew Crew!


Uncorked Voices- NEW SSA Ladies Ensemble

Introducing: Uncorked Voices

We’re thrilled to announce Uncorked Voices, a brand-new adult SSA (soprano/alto) group launching November 9th! This program blends the best of both worlds — relaxed, social singing and creative connection — all in a supportive, welcoming environment. Think of it as a “Sip & Sing” for the soul.
